Like the sweet candid memories in your favorite old photo album – alive, emotional, and true to life. Photos that are every bit romantic and classic as they are playful and charming.

For the couples who are nostalgic at heart and love out loud, not afraid of being unscripted, unrehearsed, and unrushed.

Returning to the art of storytelling through photos, let's slow down, be present, and keep it cool. With a hands off, documentary approach your experience will be relaxed and your photos will tell the entire story of your wedding day exactly and only as you lived it and felt it. Candid in-between moments, natural feeling portraits with romance and class, lived in details, and unstaged emotions. Every scene documented with curiosity and wonder. The good stuff.

DOCUMENTARY & CANDID STYLE PHOTOGRAPHY

Artist, dreamer, wife, and mom of two. I am an old soul influenced by the 70's, classic music, vintage love & simpler times. Collector of unique experiences and lover of all things with personality and character.

For your photos this means bridging the gap between modern romance and midcentury nostalgia. Documenting your love the way your parents' and grandparents' love was captured. For your memories this means creating and preserving warm feelings of comfort and authenticity that you are hoping for. Helping you to remember and relive the good old days just as you lived them.

For couples who love,

the romance of an old Frank Sinatra vinyl, the intentionality of a handwritten love letter, and the playfulness of a vintage black and white photo booth. The couples I work for want their wedding to be focused on connection and true enjoyment, an all day celebration of their love with the family and friends who mean the most. They want to be fully present in each moment, the giddy excitement, the happy tears, the laughter that fills a room, the organic and deeply felt emotions. They have a carefree, happy go lucky vibe. They value candid, lived in photos that tell of the real, raw, and honest. They want a thoughtful and balanced documentation of the soft, sweet, romantic moments as well as the exciting, energized, and lively ones. They are looking for a photographer who will be their calm, gentle guidance, encouragement, and nostalgic eye. The vision for their photos is everything sentimental, story driven, and personal (with a classic touch). If this is you, you sound so cool, I love cool. Let's connect.

St. Louis Wedding Photographer

The mission

With a laidback candid style I photograph wedding days with a real life, storytelling approach. Valuing connection, comfort, and character filled realism I step into each moment with you to document them with truth and charm. My couple's documentary photos are both lovingly guided and comfortably unguarded.  On wedding day this might look like subtle prompting when you need and want it to build on an existing emotion, nurture a moment, encourage expression, and thoughtfully lead you to comfortable, natural feeling photos. But some moments are best left alone. Being in sync with you, the natural flow of your day, and your guests, I thoughtfully observe and document each moment with intention and purpose. Anticipating the warm embrace from a distant family member, the laughter after the punchline of a joke told among guests, the emotions welling up and pouring out during vows at the ceremony, the loving eyes watching and admiring your first dance. These are the photos, the moments that aren't on the timeline, that tell your story.

Think free, present, genuine, comfortable, (and always a little bit of a funky, fun, good time). That is the goal here.

"Nicole was so easy to work with, flexible, laid back, and amazing at what she does. We couldn't be happier with  how our photos turned out and the moments she was able to capture."
