The mission
With a relaxed candid style I photograph wedding days with a real life, storytelling approach. Valuing connection and comfort I step into each moment with you to document them truthfully and honestly. My couple's photos are both lovingly guided and comfortably unguarded. On wedding day this might look like subtle prompting when you need and want it to build on an existing emotion, nurture a moment, encourage expression, and thoughtfully lead you to comfortable, natural feeling photos. I gently guide you through portraits to assure you are never left feeling performative or awkward but instead confident and most like yourself. But some moments are best left alone. I also allow space and quietly observe to document each scene just as it happens. Anticipating the warm embrace from a distant family member, the laughter after the punchline of a joke told among guests, the emotions welling up and pouring out during vows at the ceremony, the loving eyes watching and admiring your first dance.
Think free, present, genuine, comfortable, (and always a little bit of a funky, fun, good time).
